Notice of Security Incident

Four Seasons Financial Group, Inc. (“FSFG”) recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy and security of personal information. Regrettably, we are writing to inform you that we recently identified and addressed a security incident that may have involved some of that information.

FSFG recently identified suspicious connections to an employee’s email account. We immediately took steps to secure the employee’s email account and began an investigation. The investigation determined that an unauthorized person accessed the account between November 7 and November 28, 2018. Due to the nature of the unauthorized access to the account, we were unable to determine which specific emails and attachments, if any, may have been viewed by the unauthorized individual. Because of this, and out of an abundance of caution, we undertook a comprehensive analysis of the emails and attachments in the account and determined that emails or attachments to emails contained client and life insurance applicants’ names and limited medical information such as doctor’s name and treatment location.

We wanted to advise you of this incident and assure you that we take this very seriously. We have also provided written notice to those individuals that were affected by this incident and for whom we had sufficient contact information. If you believe you are affected but did not receive a letter, or if you have any questions about this matter, please call 1-877-636-5253, Monday through Friday, between 9:00 am and 6:30 pm Eastern Time.

We apologize for any concern or inconvenience this incident may cause. We are taking steps to help prevent a similar incident from occurring in the future, including enabling multifactor authentication for remote access to employees’ email accounts and providing continued education and training to our employees.
